Dubai International Airport

In May 2017, Dubai Airports celebrated the launch of artDXB: “a platform for artists to showcase their work”. Abdulla unveiled the first permanent piece put on display at a 46-metre-long wall between Concourses B and C at DXB Terminal 3, illustrating daily life at the airport. His artwork represents the story of Dubai’s history, from old to new, and through the eyes of life at the Dubai International Airport. More than 90 million passengers passing through the airport every year view Abdulla’s masterpiece.

EXPO 2020

Abdulla is the only celebrated Emirati artist to be a part of the EXPO 2020 Official Theme Song “This is Our Time”. Also, Abdulla had done an artwork in a 2×2 metre canvas depicting what he imagined the Expo 2020 site would look like. This piece had gained recognition and was exhibited in the Cuadro Gallery along with his other artworks that were 100 20×20 inch canvases. This exhibition had become his second solo exhibition in Dubai.

ALLSAINTS

He became the first ever local artist to partner with them to create a capsule range of men’s graphic t-shirts to celebrate the Ramadan season of 2021. The collection had illustrated unique pieces which was in touch with his Arab roots and had conjoined with the theme of all things musical. The collection had sold out within a few weeks indicating a huge success of this collaboration.

Crate&Barrel

To get into the holiday spirit, Abdulla had partnered with the furniture and decor company Crate & Barrel in 2020. He had designed a range of UAE-themed Christmas baubles with his quirky black and white sketches. He was able to create a collection for them to support the Centre for Persons with Disabilities. The adornments of his designs in these baubles had been appreciated all across the world.

Emirates Airlines

The Emirates’ inflight entertainment (IFE) guide had featured Abdulla’s artwork in their special edition cover. Abdulla had worked closely with their IFE team to combine what they had envisioned for this cover and incorporate Abdulla’s ideas to make a cover that had appealed to the audience. The sketch had featured a lively depiction of a flight filled with passengers who are tuned to different channels on ice and what was portrayed to be the thought processes these passengers had while viewing the wide range of entertainment channels to enjoy.

UAE Coloring Book

In 2017, Abdulla collaborated with the UAE embassy in Washington DC to publish a remarkable educational colouring book introducing the traditions and cultures of the UAE to the world. This book was both fun and engaging, and it was primarily targeted at children. This was given to schools and hospitals in the USA. Additionally, he was later invited to local schools in the UAE to sign copies of his coloring book that was distributed amongst the students.

Al Jalila Children’s Speciality Hospital

To mark the World Autism Awareness Month, April 2022, Abdulla was featured in the Al Jalila Children’s video where he was seen working on his artwork for the young patients’ room curtain deco. As Abdulla says in the video, his artwork will bring a smile to the children’s faces with an encouraging confidence.

Converse

Abdulla in partnership with Maddy Butcher created a bold interpretation of the Dubai skyline and the people who call the city home. The mural represents the spirit of togetherness, celebrating Dubai and the blend of people and cultures who make it an incredible place to live. The mural is a global campaign embraced by over 30 countries and titled the Converse Create Next project, which was first launched in August 2019.
 
Later Abdulla’s monochromatic skyline illustrating the iconic UAE buildings with Maddy’s splash of colour was incorporated on the Converse Sneakers and a Limited Edition of the same was launched in U.A.E. Converse stores.

Time Out Market Dubai

Time Out Market Dubai unveiled a new huge mural featuring two of Abdulla’s artworks displaying the UAE Past and UAE Present. Depicting the old and new Dubai, the artwork have one common aspect – the community coming together to enjoy what the city has to offer, just what Time Out Market Dubai is all about.

Grandiose Supermarket

Abdulla collaborated with Grandiose for their “No More Plastic” campaign by designing artworks for the Grandiose shopping bags.
